Earlier this week Roxio announced plans to sell its software business unit to Sonic Solutions in a deal valued at US$80 million. The news has left some Mac users wondering about the future of Roxio's Mac products -- the company makes Toast 6 Titanium CD and DVD authoring software, as well as an accompanying audio product called Jam.

I just came accross this article on CNN.com. Three restaurants at the House of Representatives are proposing to replace the word "French" with the word "Freedom" in the names of two items of food on their menus. This is intended to indicate displeasure with the stance taken by France on the possibility of war with Iraq.

Titanium Mesh Titties

Titanium Mesh Titties 07/01/2004 10:48 AM

pic-rei-12.jpg imageWhile metallic pleasure bots are high, high up on the lists of gadgets we'd like to see in the near future, we're not so sure that implanting titanium mesh under the breasts of women is the way to get the party started. Nein, der boobenkreiger ist gut, says Dr. Ziya Saylan, a German doctor who has developed the technique that over two dozen women have already tried. The idea is that the titanium will hold up the huge breast implants, preventing the sagging that many older women are getting implants to correct in the first place. If anyone has a picture of the implants, we'd love to see them (outside of the breasts, if you please).

Update: Reader Stoffel Van Eeckhoudt sent this link to the home page of the procedure that has ample pictures of both the mesh and of women's breasts both before and after the procedure. It's NSFW, unless you work in a country where the sight of womens' jububbles doesn't cause enduring national scandal.

Titanium Series Surfaces

Titanium Series Surfaces 03/19/2005 03:20 AM
There is little doubt that Rebelscum reader Joe from Norwalk, Ohio has got a great wife. Not only does she buy him Star Wars toys, she buys him cool new Star Wars toys. An example of that can be seen in the images above of the new Titanium series. She found the TRI-Fighter, Anakin’s Starfighter, AT-RT, Y-Wing, A-Wing, and Republic Gunner while shopping at the local Wal*Mart. While other toys at Wally*World won’t ring up, all of these pictured above got the green light. Oversight or not included in the big April 2nd release? Who cares if you can get them!

cruzer-titan.jpg imageWhen EverythingUSB reviews the SanDisk Cruzer Titanium, they give it high marks for having nice included bundled software and a high-speed, USB 2.0 connection. You'll like the $100 flash drive because it's made of a shiny, impress-your-friends metal, with a retractable USB bit and a glowy blue LED. For something that goes in your pocket and has a very real chance of being sat on by a melty creature, titanium may end up being a very smart choice - just leave it out of the pocket with the keys, of course.

Roxio To Become Napster

Roxio To Become Napster 08/09/2004 08:29 PM
It's been less than two years since Roxio snapped up Napster's assets. While they've been doing their best to divert student fees at universities to Napster, overall the offerin g has struggled. Still, it apparently appears like a better bet than Roxio's boring old consumer software division, so they've decided to get out of that business entirely, rename themselves Napster, and focus on losing money to the RIAA on every sale.
