The BBC is reporting that an Italian anti-war and anti-globalization group named Antiimperialista is collecting money to be sent to the Iraqi resistance. So far, they have collected 12,000 euros, and plan to give the money to an Iraqi organization called the Iraqi Patriotic Opposition, the leaders of which have ties to Saddam Hussein's Baath party. Antiimperialista is not going to place any restrictions on the use of this money. According to a spokesman for the group, "We support the armed struggle in Iraq. our money is to help them, it doesn't matter to us if they use it buy weapons, Kalashnikovs, or medicines for people."
