(very temporarily) hitting shelves at Toys “R” Us. The ones pictured
above were purchased at Toys “R” Us in Burnaby, British Columbia for
$39.99CND each.

New Clone Wars Hitting Shelves12/22/2004 01:33 AM Undeniably, 2004 has been an amazing year for Star Wars
collectors, and it looks like Hasbro plans on sending the year out
with a bang. After less than a month since their announcement, the
third series of Animated Clone Wars figures are shipping.
Unlike the two previous waves, this set is not exclusive to Target.
The set shown above were found in a Wal*Mart in Louisville, Kentucky
for $5.55 each by Rebelscum reader Mark. Though the red Clone Trooper
wasn’t found, there is no indication that it is not shipping with the
other five figures.

for the original
Star Wars Generation. Hitting shelves in the USA, in this case K-mart,
are the first three VOTC figures, Ben (Obi-Wan) Kenobi, Princess Leia
Organa, and Han Solo are priced at $10.49 each. Meanwhile, the 12”
VOTC Boba Fett and Stormtrooper figures are currently hitting shelves
at $48 each in the Philippines. Hats of to Rebelscum readers Craig
and Manny for the images. Now they just better hurry up and get to
Canada...

OTC And VOTC Found In Canada07/07/2004 05:54 PM Well, they always say be careful what you wish for, as it may come
true, and in the case of my post yesterday on the VOTC, I’m glad that
it did come true. Hasbro Canada has just shipped North Vancouver store
Big Pete’s the first
Canadian assortment. Packing out in the same ratio as the American
set, the Canadian figures (or at least Han and Leia) sport French
warning stickers on top. As for the OTC, these bad boys are hitting
The Real Canadian Superstores in the ration shown above. Sadly (for
all of you, not me) there was a glitch that allowed me to get the
whole case for slightly more than $82.00CND (that’s $6.84CND each), so
the actual retail price is unknown. The figures aren’t in their
computers yet; so many stores are keeping them in the back. If you’re
polite enough, they may hook you up.

Pocket-Lint had a chance to play around with the Sony
HMP-A1, the hard disk-based media player that's already available in
Japan (and from importers), although it won't be officially available
in the UK until next summer (Uhm, Sony?). He likes it well enough, but
I think if he had a little more time to play around with it, he'd come
to the same conclusion I did - it's nice, it's neat, it's shiny and
black and that's always a plus, but ultimately it's bogged down by the
typical Sony DRM-and-propriety-tools cruft, and other portable media
players have much the same options without all the hassle (and for
less money, on the whole).
