Jedi High
Council continues its session in our
Photo Archives today.
Continuing the scene from last year's releases, this set features Plo
Koon, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Eeth Koth from
The Phantom Menace,
the fourth interlocking base and the second of the center floor
pieces. While Obi-Wan is the same figure from his
Power of the
Jedi release, both Plo Koon (based on the
Saga version) and
Eeth Koth (pretty much a new figure with the
POTJ head,
although really this figure should be Agen Kolar) have undergone
significant changes.

Final Jedi
Duel, arguably the most emotional lightsaber battle in a
Star

aliens, bounty hunters, space battles, and explosions, and what do you
have? A story about the relationship between a son and his father.
What better day to end the series than today. My father took me to see
my first showing of
Star Wars in 1977, and it has been a part
of my life ever since. Now I'm off to spend the day with my own
children. Happy Father's Day!

06/01/2004 12:02 PMRoboChris comes through once again with new photos of the third and
fourth Jedi High Council Screen Scenes, this time in the OTC style
packaging (minus the OTC logo, of course). The
third
set includes Plo Koon, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Eeth Koth, and the
fourth
set includes Yoda, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Ki-Adi-Mundi. These
characters imply these figures are based on their appearances in
The Phantom Menace, although sharp-eyed fans will point out
that several of the outfits are not movie-accurate. Sharp-eyed fans
have also noted that the completed circle on the back (of which images
first
appeared recently) looks as if Eeth Koth and Adi Gallia appear in
the council twice, although most likely this is Stass Allie and Agen
Kolar, both seen in
Attack of the Clones. Looks like Coleman
Trebor will not appear in the Council after all...

11/19/2003 09:19 AMToday we are launching a new feature here at Rebelscum.
Anne Neumann has been hard at
work preparing for the launch of our Jedi Archives

collectible database for several months. It has more than 30,000
entries in it already, but we all know there are many more than this
to be cataloged. It's not something we can or expect to do ourselves.
She will be actively looking for help from you readers to populate and
audit the entries such that the data is the very best source available
in time.
To make room for this link we have moved a few of the quick picks
around up top and have added a
Jedi Archives link. Soon
after you read this we will open up a new forum topic where Anne will
moderate discussion of the new Archive.
I'd like to wrap up with thanks to Anne. She has put in an amazing
amount of time getting this ready.

Vintage Photo Archives: EV-9D9
01/05/2004 02:25 AMBelieve it or not,
EV-9D9, the creepy
tobacco throated droid from
Jabba’s Palace, was actually a
female droid! Yes, that’s right, in the old days of
Star Wars
today’s addition to the
Vintage Photo Archive
shared the pages of the annual ‘
Hot Chicks In A Galaxy Far, Far
Away…’ calendar. Humana. Humana. Humana.
Vintage Photo Archives: 8D8
Vintage Photo Archives: 8D8
12/15/2003 02:28 AMHow is it that
8D8,
a mute white robot that looks like it belongs on a
Pete
Townsend album cover could be a popular action figure? Well, in
the case of
8D8, there is the whole
Star Wars character
angle, plus like many kids, this guy liked taking out his aggressions
on pool little
Power Droids. So it would seem a no-brainer…
Well, except that today's addition to the
Vintage Photo Archive
wasn’t really a
popular action figure. Chances are, anyone with
hours on their hands (like any toy collector doesn’t have too much of
that) could probably still find a couple of these carded at their
local mom and pop toy store. Hint: Look behind the
Bionic Six
action figures in the discount bin.

the
Saga version of
Ask Yoda as well,
although his outfit is from

Vintage Photo Archives: 4-LOM
Vintage Photo Archives: 4-LOM
11/14/2003 01:20 AMMost vintage collectors will argue to no end that Kenner's vintage
Star Wars line was flawless, but even the most die-hard out there will
agree that the toymaker did mess up once. The mistake in question
deals partially with the
4-LOM action figure.
It seems that the hard working people at Kenner had somehow mixed his
and Zuckuss's names up. As a result, to vintage collectors, today’s
addition to the
Vintage
Photo Archive will always be 4-LOM. But for those of you that read
this column daily, it is, of course, all old news…

Vintage Photo Archives: Nikto
Vintage Photo Archives: Nikto
12/16/2003 01:56 AMDespite how simplistic the vintage
Nikto figure appears
to be, it is one of the most faithful sculpts to be found in the
Kenner line. As a matter of fact, save the yellow lines that
were on the character’s pants, today’s addition to the
Vintage Photo Archive
proves that the people at
Kenner were not only very concerned
with making top quality toys that best represented the film, they
wanted to make toys worthy of the children that they made the toys
for. There is little doubt that
Kenner ‘really did care’ about
more than the bottom line and it showed.

Vintage Photo Archives: Too-Onebee
(2-1B)
11/04/2003 02:01 AMSure the vintage
2-1B action figure was
Johnny-on-the-spot whenever a farm boy needed to get some serious
plastic surgery or a new bio-mechanic hand, but what has he done for
the Rebellion lately? More than you know pal, more than you'll ever
know! For instance, whom do you think the Rebels turn to on New Year's
Eve for a designated driver? Who do you think shovels the walks on the
Hoth base and scrubs the moss of the Ewok suspension bridges on the
Forest moon of Endor? That's right, the good old medical droid, that's
who. Today’s addition to the
Vintage Photo Archive
doesn't mind much though, since it keeps the Rebels off his precious
collection of medical gurneys.
