Kyocera Releases iPod mini-Matching
Cameras
07/22/2004 08:11 AM
Hoping to cash
in on the iPod mini craze (and you know, I've heard more stupid ideas
before), Kyocera is selling five new color-matched versions of the
four-megapixel Finecam SL400R cameras. Color-matched, that is, to the
iPod mini. And while I'm sure they'll be super hot (at least to those
fashion-forward iPod adopters), getting one into the States may not be
so easy -- the cameras will only be available in Apple's Ginza store
and the online Apple Store (but for Japan-shipping only? Unknown!)
(Thanks, Jon!)

this A5502K from Kyocera is the first phone I can recall seeing with
two cameras, one in the front like a normal, selfless,

look half-bad either, although I wouldn't expect to see it in the US,

Yeah, that probably got your attention. But thanks to event sponsors

to do to win? All you have to do is show up with your iPod, connect it

highlights of your own music library with the rest of us (as many
songs as you like, as long as it fits within the time limit). Yep,
it's your very own twelve minutes of fame.

Prostate Diagnosis Robot from Singapore
05/23/2004 12:28 AMA robot may soon be helping doctors diagnose prostate problems and
perform prostate biopsies according to a new News-Medical.net
article. The new robot was jointed developed by Singapore
General Hospital and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). In
addition
to assisting the doctor with diagnosis and biopsies, the robot can
precisely place radioactive particles for use in treatment of prostate
cancer. It can perform more accurately and with less tissue damage
than
traditional methods, leading to less pain and faster patient recovery.
More details can be found in the NTU press
release (PDF format).
