Capitol Hill Blue, a publication I have never heard of, is reporting that Colin Powell has told Bush that if he presses for a vote at the UN, "You will lose, Mr. President. You will lose badly and the United States will be humiliated on the world stage." According to the article, "Many were watching Turkey," Powell told Bush. "Had they agreed, it might have helped us sway critical votes." The article has some other interesting quotes from anonymous from Bush administration officials. I have no idea if this Powell quote is true, but if it is, thank goodness for Turkey. It may have rescued us from our own folly. I guess we will know more tonight. Via Lisa Rein's Radar.

The Thanksgiving holiday is here and with it comes our annual news update on turkey robots. MIT's Spring Turkey biped is still the most advanced turkey robot around, even if it is getting a bit old. But for the most realistic appearance and behavior, we'd have to go with Custom Robotic Wildlife's robot Turkey. The Turkey is autonomous and has interchangable skins; just the thing to assist hunters in killing biological turkeys (and game wardens trying to stop hunters from killing the live turkeys)
