Welcome To Indy....
Welcome To Indy....
04/19/2005 04:07 AMSeveral of us made our way to Indy on Monday. The center was very
active with tear down and move out of a huge fireman's convention and
set up of C3. You could tell the exhibitor floor was going to look
nice with its red and black curtains, in the theme of E3. The
autograph hall is massive. Considering it had 8,000 sq. ft. for C2 and
there is about 43,500 sq. ft. this time, it's dramatically different.
You can see just a couple of snapshots on our
C3
page. One interesting side note, at our hotel, the keys have a C3
logo, and a Vader on them and apparently are promotional from Target.
"Go where the Jedi Shop" on the front and "Get to Target to pick up
Star Wars essentials, and everything else from the galaxy far,
far away." It doesn't look like many of these will be turned back in
at departure.

Indy is a free music discovery service that learns what you like, and
plays more of it. It is designed to provide an alternative channel
for music fans to discover artists, and for artists to reach a new
audience. Indy employs a sophisticated collaborative filtering
algorithm. Currently the Indy client works on Windows, but Mac and
Linux versions are in the pipeline.

George W. Bush's latest
TV ads juxtapose
Iraq's and Afghanistan's flags with footage of Olympic sport,
proclaiming, "At this Olympics, there will be two more free
nations — and two fewer terrorist regimes." At a campaign stop,
Bush
said, "just the image of the Iraqi soccer team playing in
this Olympics. It's fantastic, isn't it? What a fantastic
thought." The
possibly
medal-bound Iraqi soccer team, however,
objects to any such association. While Bush goes on to
say, "Here's a country now, battling for a country that is now
free. It wouldn't have been free if the United States had not
acted,"
Ahmed Manajid, midfield goes so far as to say, "if
he were not playing soccer he would 'for sure' be fighting as part of
the resistance."
