SAN FRANCISCO - Microsoft Corp. and services company Capgemini SA have bolstered their seven-year alliance with a $50 million investment designed to sell more software and services to customers in several industries, the companies plan to announce Monday.

The companies have collaborated since 1997 to help enterprise organizations take advantage of the latest Microsoft® technologies to achieve competitive advantage, grow revenue and reduce costs. The alliance has generated more than $2 billion in sales of Microsoft-based solutions and services since its formation, and the companies have increased alliance sales more than 47 percent since 2002.

Microsoft Corp. and SeaChange International Inc. today announced an agreement at the National Cable & Telecommunications Association's National Show to extend their joint efforts to provide network operators with flexibility in developing, marketing and deploying video-on-demand (VOD) services. According to the agreement, SeaChange's VODlink software will be integrated with the Microsoft® TV Foundation Edition platform, allowing operators to take advantage of VODlink's value-added capabilities, such as DVD on demand. The agreement affirms SeaChange's existing commitment to Microsoft TV and ensures support of SeaChange VODlink in future versions of Microsoft TV Foundation Edition and Microsoft TV Interactive Program Guide (IPG) for television operators that choose VODlink services.

Microsoft Corp. and JDA Software Group Inc. have signed a multiyear alliance that will expand their existing relationship and accelerate the development, marketing and sales of the JDA Portfolio® suite based on the Microsoft® platform and Microsoft .NET technologies. Through the alliance, Microsoft and JDA will jointly promote JDA's .NET-based enterprise solutions as a strategic solution for the retail industry.
