Audio Interview with the CEO of the
Democratic National Convention, Rod
O'Connor
07/27/2004 09:30 PM
I interviewed CEO Rod O'Connor about some of the ideas in yesterday's PressThink post. I've been trying to understand the thinking behind the convention-as-television-show. Figured I'd bring the puzzle to Rod, CEO. This is my first try at audio blogging, and so it's rough. His answers I will weave into another post. Listen for yourself as O'Connor defends--and ably explains-- the logic of the made-for-TV convention. And he reveals why the party decided to invite bloggers. They're an "internet property," which, like a broadcast property, is a way Americans "get their information" these days. It's fifteen minutes that will help you understand what you are watching this week.
