new game aimed at preschoolers based on PBS's Dragon Tales television
show, as well as a new game for grade school-aged kids based on the
popular I Spy book series. Dragon Tales: Learn & Fly With Dragons
and I Spy: Spooky Mansion Deluxe are both planned for a June release,
shipping on hybrid CD-ROM for Mac and Windows operating systems.
They'll each cost US$19.95.

peacefully (if noisily and enthusiastically) up Seventh Avenue in
Manhattan for almost four hours when a green paper dragon float came
to a standstill on the east side of the street, directly across from a
giant FOX News Billboard ("America's Newsroom") and just in front of a
McDonald's restaurant. The base of the float was hung with paper
banners with anti-corporate messages, behind which figures could be
seen scurrying about, bent almost double so as not to be spotted.
Suddenly, about 20 people, mostly young men, started spilling out of
the belly of the dragon and running north. They were dressed all in
black, and were wearing bandanas over their mouths like surgical
masks.

Mike's first novel, published by Tor last year, is a great read. Star
Dragon is a hard science fiction novel detailing a scientific
expedition to investigate strange life forms living inside a star's
accretion disk." This is great news -- Tor is my publisher, too and
it's wonderful to see them experimenting with CC licenses for their
other authors.
Unlike most first-time visitors entering the world headquarters of
Biolathe, Inc., Dr. Samuel Fisher didn't pause at the moist cloying
air that moved across the building’s threshold like breath. If
anything, his pace increased; he threw his shoulders forward and his
streaker-clad feet rushed as if to prevent a fall, sinking into the
plush rose ruglings with each step. Unlike the sunlit diamond and
gold, seemingly mandatory in corporate buildings, this lobby throbbed
pink and organic. The entire building was alive. Despite the
omnipresence of biotechnology, walking inside it rather than sitting
on it still made most hesitate.
Not Fisher -- he was in the middle of five major projects. He didn't
believe his life would be as transformed by the upcoming presentation
as the Biolathe agent had hinted. He charged ahead, glancing about
the nearly empty lobby for signs to guide him. What was this? He’d
been here six seconds already! There was never enough time to waste
any of it. He decided there was one thing he would hesitate over in
the future: being talked into a physical meeting.
In the middle of the cavernous chamber Fisher stopped abruptly,
brought up short by a bipedal mobile with wrinkled gray skin attached
to the wall by a pulsing umbilical.

II, the third offering in the classic side scrolling beat-em-up series
from Technos Japan hit the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, the
year that Iraq invaded Kuwait, Nelson Mandela was released from
prison, the first ever WWW page was published and Cannibal Corpse
released their seminal album Eaten Back to Life. For those familiar
with the first two games, Double Dragon III will initially hold few
surprises. The Supreme Black Shadow Sensei may be dead, but Billy and
Jimmy Lee are back and their classic moves such as the whirlwind kick
and the old "grabbing the bad guy by the hair and kneeing him
repeatedly in the face" trick are ready and waiting. And yes, even the
