Bill Lockyer has decided to
sue the company,
saying they made false claims about their product. Amusingly, Diebold
continues to mislead in their response to the lawsuit by noting that
they are: "pleased Lockyer dropped the probe." When the only reason
the probe has been dropped is because there's enough info to sue, it
seems like there's not much to be "pleased" about.

boards, recently revealed in his blog that they are to have
partnership with undoubtedly one of the most famous online auction
site, eBay. Craiglist been involved in sites focusing on classified
ads, finding and meeting new people and even discussion boards just
like our very own, in over 45 cities.
Both the companies have mentioned that this will be more of an
'information exchange' partnership, where both the companies will
share their learnings and benefit each other. An eBay spokesperson
also made it clear that this won't be any sort of a tight partnership
deal, but both the companies will be able to keep operating their
particular business without interference.
"Their business model and ours are complementary," Durzy
said. "The goal is for us to learn more about the classified
business model, how it works and where it works.".
Initially that came to me as a strict denial to the fact that ebay
won't be implementing Craiglist's skills on their property. However,
seeing as how ebay could benefit from Craiglists' past experience with
online communities and gain efficiency in sales, will Craiglist, who
deals in more than just sales and purchases of goods, be able to gain
as much by learning merely from a vast auction site? Especially in the
case that they may not be implementing their system on ebay.

Tuesday of every month. However, the first monthly bulletins will be
released on Wednesday, October 15, 2003.
As before, Microsoft will issue a single security bulletin per patch.
An additional security bulletin summary document per product family
will be issued that will provide summarized information for all the
patches released that month for the product family. Finally, Microsoft
will provide prescriptive guidance within the security bulletins
including workarounds for all vulnerabilities where a workaround is
feasible, risk-assessment for specific threats, and other information
that will make it easier for customers to evaluate and deploy the
patches. A Knowledge Base article for every patch will be created that
will provide a link to the corresponding security bulletin without
duplicating the same information.

cumulative update.
Caveats: Subsequent to the release of this security bulletin,
Microsoft was made aware that the update provided for Windows XP
customers running the new version of Windows Update, Windows Update
Version 5,
did not contain the final release code for the
vulnerabilities addressed in the security bulletin. Microsoft has
corrected the update and is re-releasing this bulletin to advise of
the availability of a revised update available to Windows Update
Version 5 customers. Customers who are utilizing Windows Update
Version 4, the vast majority of customers, are not affected by this
revision.
This update does not include hotfixes for Internet Explorer provided
