named Konfabulator was cranking beautiful Widgets for both platforms.
You can download a trial copy here and see for yourself and they even
dropped the price from $29 to $19.99. The best…

According to
ZDNet, "The
price of memory chips is rising at its fastest rate in more than four

be due to difficulty with the new production technology, and the fact
that many companies are beginning to make other memory types (flash

Munich Bans
Memorial Plaques Munich has decided to ban memorial plaques to
Jewish, Sinti and German citizens deported and murdered during World
War Two. Jewish leaders, fearful that the plaques would stir up
anti-Semitic fervor, supported the ban.
These plaques are the work of a German artist,
Gunter Demnig.
”He first had the idea in the early 1990s when he was unveiling a
memorial for the Sinti and Roma victims of the Holocaust.
“An elderly woman approached him and insisted that "no Gypsies
ever lived here". "It is so easy for people to deny
something. I wanted to ensure that this would not happen," he
says. (BBC).”
This reminder of the holocaust brought to mind the

but whomever it was never owned a dog or at least not a bright one.
Otava has a mental catalogue of each and every tasty bit of puke,
poop, discarded hesburger wrappers, sticks, dead birds, etc. within a
1km radius. I even think that sometimes he plots our walks and
consciously takes me to these spots so that he can make one more
attempt at eating whatever it is that I've kept him from. I have a
hard time remembering what day it is or what I ate for lunch so his
memory seems to be far more tenacious than mine. We are also pretty
convinced that he actually watches TV when he's up on the couch next
to me since his eyes appear to follow the motion and he perks up if a
dog barks on the screen. Any day now he's going to be watching porn
and ordering take-away while we're at work. :)

Pope John Paul II: A Tribute
Pope John Paul II: A Tribute
04/03/2005 12:24 AMOn April 2nd at 2:37PM EST, one of the 20th centuries greatest leaders
passed away. For 26 years Pope John Paul II selflessly served the
world as the Vicar of Christ and head of the Catholic Church. An
exemplary model of compassion and humility, John Paul's greatest
legacy will be the mark he left on the spiritual and political realm
of our world.
American President George W. Bush summed up the life of John Paul II
in these words:
"The Catholic Church has lost its shepherd, the world has lost
a champion of human freedom, and a good and faithful servant of God
has been called home.
Pope John Paul II left the throne of St. Peter in the same way he
ascended to it -- as a witness to the dignity of human life. In his
native Poland, that witness launched a democratic revolution that
swept Eastern Europe and changed the course of history. Throughout the
West, John Paul's witness reminded us of our obligation to build a
culture of life in which the strong protect the weak. And during the
Pope's final years, his witness was made even more powerful by his
daily courage in the face of illness and great suffering.
We will always remember the humble, wise and fearless priest who
became one of history's great moral leaders. We're grateful to God for
sending such a man, a son of Poland, who became the Bishop of Rome,
and a hero for the ages."
Neowin salutes one of the great leaders of our time.
