wherever they go. Microsoft Corp. announced today from the All-Star
Game fan activities that Amazon.com will exclusively offer preorders
of Windows Mobile (TM) -based Portable Media Centers. The software
company also announced that MLB Advanced Media (MLB.com) will make
Major League Baseball content, including daily condensed and full
games, extended baseball highlights, weekly bloopers and homerun
reels, archival footage, and classic moments available as a
subscription package or on a pay-per-view basis for download and
playback on the new handheld multimedia device.

a new interface developed by
Apple and BMW. The iPod can be controlled directly from your BMW's
audio system and multi-function steering wheel through the use of an
integrated adapter that's installed into the vehicle's glovebox. It's
available for model year 2002, 2003 and 2004 BMW3 Series; Z4 Roadster;
X3 and X5 SAV; and MINI models. The interface cable is not available
on vehicles with navigation system, CD changer, DSP cassette player or
satellite radio.

They aren't shipping yet,
but it looks like Amazon has set up their Personal Media Center page
to promote both the Samsung Yepp YH-999 [pictured] and the Creative
Labs Zen Portable Media Center. While there's not a whole lot of
information about the devices that you haven't already heard, but if
you're itching to pick either one up you can pre-order can get it
shipped as soon as they hit our shores. If you purchase the Samsung
instead of the Creative, you can save a whole eleven cents!
