set to release yet another beta build of its long-awaited Windows XP
Service Pack 2 (SP2) code any time now. It's not clear if Microsoft
will declare the new build "Release Candidate 3," but that would be
our guess.

pluggable architecture, plug in security providers, ldif support, i18n
support, online help, user configurable html forms for data display
and much, much more. A stable release candidate for JXplorer 3.1 is
now available for download; if it checks out it will become the 3.1
release. This release includes a bunch of new security goodies, such
as improved SSL handling with browser-like detection of server
certificates, optional client side password hashing, and kerberos
support.
Otherwise, a number of bug fixes and some internal code refactoring.
If the second release candidate is good (the first had a minor gui
problem with kerberos passwords) I'll make the OS specific install
packages and re-release in a week or so!

available. This version is mostly focused on bugfixes and minor
improvements. Some of these include: Improved voting/ranking features;
Gallery internationalized in even more languages; Config. Wizard is
more informative and friendly; Improved skins capabilities (more
customizable); EZ-Prints service updated to their new, friendlier
interface; Tons of small improvements and bugfixes. Gallery is a
slick, intuitive web based photo gallery with authenticated users and
privileged albums. Easy to install, configure and use. Photo
management includes automatic thumbnails, resizing, rotation, etc.
User privileges make this great for communities.
This version also has security improvements. Gallery v1.3.1, 1.3.2,
1.3.3, 1.4 and 1.4.1 have a *major security flaw*, so we recommend
that all users upgrade either to 1.4.1-pl1 or to this 1.4.2-RC1
immediately.
