Japanese carrier KDDI has sold 10 million
mobile music downloads through its new EZ “Chaku-Uta
Full” service since last November. Other carriers are boasting
downloads of 30 million or so pieces of media and KDDI said it is
selling 2 million tracks per month. Meanwhile, in the U.S., the MIDI
version of Drop it Like It's Hot has been purchased by the majority
Mrs. Koob's eighth-grade class at St. Stephen's Elementary in Kirby,
Wisconsin and Sprint "thinks" that someone "may have signed up for
streaming TV, but it could be a glitch in the billing system."
Come on, people, can we get some good phones over here that make
downloading, and, more importantly, listening to music, on our cellies
a pleasure? Apple? Sony? A little more than 513MB and a wonky UI? Huh?
If you can't sell Bright Eyes tracks to a million emo kids with cool
phones how are we ever going to put a man on the moon?
