Egg still hasn’t found a buyer'
A little bit reminiscent of the Dotcom boom, e-bank
“Egg” is still looking for a buyer. The “bank”
was put up for sale by Prudential in the U.K. who happens to own a 79
percent stake in the failing e-bank. While hopes are high that a buyer
will be found eventually, I remain a bit skeptical….

Confession of a Mac Mini buyer
Confession of a Mac Mini buyer
03/14/2005 04:34 PMSome people have been asking me why I am so pissed off at Apple for
taking the webloggers to court to find out who spilled the beans on
their product plan.
Well one of those websites was the primary reason I purchased the
Mac Mini. I have used Windows based PC's for years and had slowly
started getting interested in the Mac from friends, and things I was
reading on the net, and at one of the sites being sued. At the time I
was thinking, great a low end Mac that I can experiment with and if I
like it maybe I will go out and get a G5.
So tonight my phone rings and it is a Apple survey firm and they
ask for 15 minutes of my time to ask questions about the Mini. I asked
do I get to make a comment at the end of the survey and she said
yes.
So I took 15 minutes of my time and answered everything honestly
and when she asked for my comments I asked how much space she had to
type. She said all I wanted.
So in very straight forward language I told the same story I am
telling you now, with a greater amount of detail.
Does not Apple realize that they have started to destroy what they
hold so precious "their dedicated users". Mac users are fanatical and
love to talk and evangelize their products, but I wonder if many
people will be stop buzzing their products or predictions on products.
The Apple management obviously does not get it.
I stood in line to get a Mac Mini for 7 hours the first day it was
released and got machine #7 if memory serves me correct, here in
Honolulu. Primarily because a website run by a Mac supporter turned me
on to something that a die hard windows user thought was pretty
cool.
So what do I do, take it out in the street and drive over it in
protest? No I am sure the wife would beat me down but guess how long
it's gonna be before I buy a G5 (a cold day in hell). Apple I am so
disappointed in you!

Can't Find a Buyer - Ever Think about
Bartering
04/07/2005 03:41 AMInternet bartering is becoming more popular these days as technology
makes it easier to find people to barter with. Bartering has been
around since the beginning of time and was the primary form of trade
before the invention of money. Companies such as Mydrew.com is
leveraging technology in order to create a consumer trading market
that brings bartering to a whole new level. [PRWEB Apr 7, 2005]

12/02/2003 01:35 AMIntriguing Barbelith fact: Each
post currently costs around 1 pence (UK), or precisely
1.6213519580942878523322524320279 cents (US). If we had more posts,
then that cost per post would actually decrease, because - at
least at the moment - we're paying a fixed cost for bandwidth and
storage. It's on that basis (and the fact that Barbelith is now open
for new members once more) that I invite you to join immediately. The
cheaper we can make each post the better! Although, having said that,
only high-quality intelligent posts or highly witty comments are
acceptable. Why not consider it an alternative to trying to sign up to
Metafilter, only with more in-jokes and a weirder moderation
system?
