Filmica: New collaborative bl0g about
film launches in Spain
12/26/2003 07:58 PMCaspa.tv blog founder
Antonio
Delgado, who gave me a personal guided tour of all things geeky in
Barcelona not long ago, sends word of a new addition to Spain's
growing blogosphere:
Mainly composed of weblogs, Filmica project was born to
become an open
platform devoted to the present and future of the film and TV
industries,
collaborating the dialogue and extracting the knowledge from the
information that is flowing on many spaces.
Each weblog is a personal site where authors freely write and comment
about
topics of their interest. Directors, producers, script-writers,
journalists, proffessionals and fans will have their weblog installed
and ready for them to write, freely. No computer skills required. At
this moment, Filmica.com is at beta stage, finishing some adjustments
and designs. The official opening is expected at the begining of 2004.
People interested to open a weblog in Filmica should send an e-mail to
weblogs@filmica.com, describing who the author is and what the
subject of the weblog will be. The proposals will be reviewed.

tp://terranova.blogs.com/Terra Nova is a collaborative weblog experiment. It is about
an emerging social phenomenon called "virtual worlds" --
computer-generated, persistent, immersive, and representational social
platforms. Currently, the most popular virtual worlds are massively
multiplayer online roleplaying games (MMORPGs), such as Everquest and
Star Wars Galaxies. However, there are many other old and new
varieties of virtual worlds. Posts at Terra Nova will offer news and
opinions regarding the social, economic, legal, psychological, and
political aspects of these worlds. They will feature scholarship,
insights, and data relevant to the study of virtual worlds. This has
been added to

Re-Imagining Apple
Re-Imagining Apple

Far be
it from me to accuse anyone of having an Apple fetish, but I think
hiring an ex-Apple product designer to do speculative mock-ups of
potential new products might be a bit obsessive. But Business 2.0
likes them some Apple, for sure, and has just put up pictures of five
potential new Apple gadgets (or more, depending on how you count) that
they think might come out in the future. It's a companion piece to another article that is subscription only, sadly.

is now available for Windows users. With today's launch of Ecto for
Windows, BoingBoing officially becomes an all-ecto blog! My BoingBoing

TypePad, MovableType, Nucleus, and Blogger users: rejoice. Ecto
co-creator Adriaan Tijsseling
says:
Joi and me are very happy to
announce the release of a beta of a Windows port of ecto, thanks to a
unique collaboration with Alex Hung. It is our hope that with this
collaboration the ease of use and features of ecto will now be

The beta trial will last one month, during which we hope to find bugs
and improve on the product with the help of user feedback. Any
information about this beta will be on the ecto for Windows webpage as
Alex will be the main responsible person for this Windows version.
