Tasty screenshots of Windows Mobile 2005 (aka Magneto) abound now that the ROM has been leaked. I'm biting my tongue on the obligatory X-Men joke, but the screenshots look sharp. (Granted, that was how my grandmother used to describe me, so I'm really just assuming it's a pleasant thing.) Check them out at PhoneMag (they have a whole gallery) and if you happen to be running Mobile 2005 already, remember that you are likely a very bad person. But still tell us all about it, kthx.

Microsoft's Encarta encyclopedia project often seems to be forgotten in all of the various arguments over Wikipedia, but it appears that they're feeling a bit of the Wikipedia-induced heat. They're going to now make it easier for people to suggest changes to Encarta entries, if they feel they're wrong. Of course, those changes will still be reviewed by an editor, so it's not really wiki-like at all -- but that won't stop the press from making the connection. It's just that Encarta is making the "feedback" functionality a little more prominent and hoping that this allows them to catch some of the Wikipedia hype wave.

MacRumors.com has pos ted some screenshots purportedly to be from a developer release of OS X 10.4 (aka ?Tiger?). If the screenshots are real, then extra features we can expect to see in the forthcoming release include:

• The ability to search System Preferences with a highlighting system indicating control panels relevent to your search.
• A firewall 'stealth mode'
• A feature called Dashboar d which offers Konfabulator-like desktop widgets
