Gold?

Gold? 03/20/2003 05:31 PM
Who is Jason Cain? Apparently someone who has: "the first website devoted to teaching moneymaking strategies to bloggers." Excuse me? Have I been in the dark for the past year? Who is this guy? Is anybody taking him seriously? I'm not talking about GoldBlogger, I'm talking about GoldBlogger. Technorati shows only one inbound link / blog for it. Feedster? "0 posts found, 0 Shown." GoldBlogger? Has anybody wasted their money on this gold-digging resource? Do Dave, Nick, Glenn, Andrew, and Rebecca know they're being quoted? If so, I can't imagine why I haven't heard of this guy before. What's more, he's got a pop-out window begging visitors to sign up for a "FREE REPORT." It's either my sinuses draining or the thought of this site; I'm kinda sick to my stomach - and not in the Raging Cow kinda way....

FeedDemon 1.0 going Gold! 12/30/2003 12:07 AM

At the stroke of midnight tonight (CST), I'm "officially" locking the FeedDemon code in preparation for its final release. It's been a long time coming, so I'm excited to finally get to this point.

I should add that several people reported an "access violation" error when closing RC4a, but it looks like this has been resolved in a RC4b build I made available for testers.

If you're using RC4b and are still seeing problems, please let me know by posting in the feeddemon.beta newsgroup on my news server.

Microsoft Goes Gold

Microsoft Goes Gold 03/31/2005 09:41 AM
Microsoft has released Windows XP 64-bit edition and Windows 2003 Server SP-1 to manufacturing. This is NOT to say that you can get your hands on them, yet, but it’s only a matter of days or weeks (usually about 3 weeks) before you can. A lot of people (including me!) are eagerly awaiting XP64. It brings up an interesting point: How does Windows XP64 run 32-bit software? The answer is ‘easy’ and points us into…

24k Gold PSP Sleeve 03/28/2005 10:30 AM

kimora_psp.jpgCalling Kimora Lee Simmons a designer is generous, at best (we prefer donut licker), but there's no denying this custom PSP sleeve made from over a pound of gold is the easiest way to make the PSP both less portable and more stealable. Of course, I'd sport it like there was no tomorrow and would wear my nicest 'street' dress.

My brother just opened up his very first CafePress store! His current design is a parody of the 24Hr Fitness design, called 24Hr Fatness. I have one of his shirts, and let me tell you something, Curly, it gets quite a response from the ladies.

I asked Jeremy to tell WWdN readers why he made the shirts, and here's what he had to say:
I did it because I was tired of seeing the 24Hr Fitness employees walking around who were more out of shape than me trying to be all like "hey, you should join 24Hr Fitness so you can get into shape". Yeah, whatever tiny, you have cheese on your lip.

I just hope that Cafepress leaves it up there, they have a thingy about not selling things that resemble other products. So we'll see. If they sell and it gets taken down then I'll do it my damn self! Jenn [his wife] and I are going to be working on a bunch more stuff too. Jenn has the "Party Monkey" and "Drag Monkey" line she's been doing for fun for years.

Am I buggin' you? I don't mean to bug ya...

Zagunis Gets the Gold! 08/18/2004 01:06 PM
Mariel Zagunis has become the first United States woman fencer to ever win a gold medal , the first US fencer to win a gold since Albertson Van Zo Post won an extinct event called Single Sticks in 1904, and the first US fencer to win any medal at all since Peter Westbrook in 1984. Zagunis fences Sabre, along with her fellow medal winner (and #1 world ranked womens saberist) Sada Jacobson and former medalist and current coach and philanthropist Peter Westbrook. Could this be the start of a new championship sabre squad in the US? Well, no, not if you look at the men's sabre results.
