PowerPrefs is a configuration client for PBButtonsd, the hardware
daemon for Apple Powerbooks, that allows the user to change certain
options of PBButtonsd during runtime. This includes temporarily
disabling sleep mode while compiling a big project, changing trackpad
or keyboard mode, and more.
Changes:
This release is adapted to handle all the new options of PBButtonsd
0.6.8, including ALSA and OSS mixer configuration and the new
"NoTapTyping" option, which disables the trackpad's mouse click
emulation while typing on a keyboard.

Installing Bricolage
12/19/2004 03:27 PMThough CPAN makes it possible to write large and powerful
applications, distributing those applications can prove daunting. In
the case of the Bricolage content management system, though, David
Wheeler's installation guide here will walk you through the process.

I just love stumbling across stories of integrating
Blosxom with other applications or
bits and bobs of software. My good friend David Wheeler of
Bricolage fame just pointed me
at discussion of using
Bricolage as a front-end/sidekick to Blosxom:
I created a new output channel (Blog), which simply outputs documents
with .blog extension; I then created a BlogStories element type (story
type) and a BlogStory element of BlogStories type, with primary OC
Blog
and four allowed subelements . . . The main site is accessible
through http://www.example.com while the Blosxom scripts answers
requests for http://blog.example.com.

05/18/2004 04:29 AMIs it possible to add an internal USB hub? I have two front USB ports
and also an internal card reader. My motherboard has room for either
one of those but not both. Also, I have a firewire port on my case
front, but no place on my motherboard to plug it in.
