Financial data stealing virus

Financial data stealing virus 06/29/2004 08:29 PM
Is your financial data safe? If you are using Internet Explorer, chances are that it is not. There is a new virus making it’s rounds that takes advantage of three separate exploits built within Internet Explorer. While Microsoft was able to issue a patch for two of the three exploits, the remaining one is certainly enough to get yourself infected. Experts are advising users to either use a Mozilla based browser or perhaps the Opera browser in place of Internet Explorer. The author of this post only uses Firefox and could not be bribed for any amount of cash to start using Internet Explorer again. If you are someone that simply “must” use IE, then consider turning the security settings all the way up in a fleeting hope that the virtual boogie man will decide to pass you by.
