Review: SuSE Linux 9
11/13/2003 04:09 AMSuSE Linux 9, the latest release from Nuremberg, Germany-based SuSE
Linux, was released at the end of last month. I put SuSE Linux
Professional through its paces, and found it to be the most
user-friendly Linux distribution on the market. It's not a "must"
update for users of previous versions, but it does have some nice
perks.

12/02/2003 01:19 AMLots of things happened in my life in the last ~2 months. But they've
all been either too personal to post here or too insignificant
relatively to the important things for me to want to take time to
write them. I considered writing about the more personal things, but I
decided against it. I think I might be about ready to pick up the
stream of nonessential random tidbits again though... We'll see. The
December issues of Linux Journal includes...

Review: Linux Client Migration Cookbook
02/01/2005 08:49 PMEven the most hapless management automatons are aware of the licensing
and maintenance costs associated with perpetuating a Windows
workplace. As security concerns escalate and the reliability of
Windows diminishes, the appeal of desktop Linux intensifies. Ready or
not, businesses must heed the migratory instinct, or risk getting left
behind. The Linux Client Migration Cookbook, an IBM Redbook written by
a group of seasoned IT specialists and freely downloadable from IBM's
Web site, is a balanced and informative guide to practical migration.

VertiGo and Cablebuddy Review
04/06/2005 02:46 PMWaterfield Bags launched a SleeveCase designed specifically for the
Mac Mini within weeks of the official Apple announcement. In its
default configuration as I received it, the SleeveCase is merely what
it claims to be, a case into which a Mac Mini will fit. However,
Waterfield offers a configuration with a detachable shoulder strap.
