weird move in PeopleSoft bid

This is just so weird. On Friday, May 14, Oracle lowered its bid for PeopleSoft to $21 per share from $26 per share. Admittedly, I'm not a elder statesperson and luckily have yet to develop any gray hair, but I've never heard of such a thing. (It's probably happened before, but this doesn't happen often, in any case.)

Let me see pay Hotmail $19.95 a year for 2 gigs of storage or get 150 megs for free so long as I login once every 30 days to make sure the account does not get deleted or have virtually unlimited free storage on Gmail. Seems like a no brainer to me. Nice try in playing catch up. I think though since I have a paid Hotmail account that I will copy all of the e-mail I have with attachments to the Hotmail account and fill it to the brim. Might as well get my $19.95 worth out of the account. [eWeek]
