Comdex has canceled the show this year. It's really to bad but I
suppose vendors are re-directing their focus to shows that are devoted
to their particular product line. Many people thought that there wouldn't be a Comdex last year after its parent company, Key3Media went bankrupt and other, competing shows, jumped in to take its place. The show still happened, though without much interest. Apparently, the interest is even less this year, and there will be no Comdex this year. They claim that it will come back the following year, but I wouldn't bet too much money on that happening. In the meantime, everyone had already shifted their Las Vegas conference travel plans to January's CES anyway, so it's unlikely this will actually impact anyone.
