Dial [fn] for Expose posting, Craig Morgan
pointed out some further Expose voodoo: Map the [fn] key near your
left pinky finger to the All Windows Expose view, tap [fn], then use
[tab] to cycle through applications much like you might do with [alt]
+ [tab], except that the open windows for each of the apps hop to the
foreground as if you'd hit [f10] for Expose's Application Windows
view. w00t!

When Apple thrust Mac OS X upon us, it was
quite a change. I remember one colleague remarked that his head was
filled with all sorts of Mac OS 9 troubleshooting arcana, nearly all
of which would be rendered moot once Mac OS X gained its footing. Some
behaviors in the new operating system changed enough that they
disrupted the flow of how we'd been using the Mac for years.
Subsequently, several utilities appeared to bring back those behaviors
(see "Top Mac OS X Utilities: Restoring Mac OS 9
Functionality" in TidBITS-622).

applications, pointing out how many would ban perfectly legitimate
applications as well. His recommendation is that instead of banning
applications, politicians should focus on banning behaviors. As has
been said many times here, banning technology makes no sense. Banning
bad behavior is perfectly reasonable. However, it's not necessarily
so easy with software. If you asked the politicians and looked at
some of the bills McCullough mentions, many would say that they
are trying to ban behavior and not the technology. For
example, with spyware, they're trying to ban the behavior or sneakily
sending private info without the user knowing it. That's what the
various laws propose - and it's clearly targeting a behavior. The end
result, though, is that it bans any technology that automatically
performs that "behavior." So, separating out software from behavior
isn't always so easy.
