iTunes Europe Launches

iTunes Europe Launches 06/15/2004 08:33 AM

itunes.jpg imageApple iTunes has launched in Europe, or at least the UK, France, and Germany. Although it's really not terribly different than iTunes here, The Register is reporting that many independent UK artists have held out, accusing Apple of giving better deals to major labels than to the independents, meaning artists like Basement Jaxx and Dizzee Rascal won't be on iTunes. Prices in the UK are 79 pence, or 99 euro, which bakes out to around a buck twenty in the US at the moment.

But who cares what we Yanks have to say -- check out some of the European coverage. I'll add to this list throughout the day if I find any more good coverage.
