Aspyr Media Inc. on Tuesday announced that its Macintosh conversion of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation has hit its beta development milestone and will ship in early August. Based on the television show of the same name, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation has you solving murders in five different crime scenes as you use the forensic equipment and problem-solving skills of the entire CSI team.

Aspyr Media Inc. has updated its Web site with information about its forthcoming Mac conversion of Spider-Man 2: The Game, an action title based on the summer blockbuster movie. Licensed by Aspyr from Activision, this game puts you in the role of the legendary web-slinging comic book superhero as you save the denizens of New York from Doc Ock. The game features the voices of Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and Alfred Molina, and sports some of the same locations and situations that Peter Parker, a.k.a. Spider-Man, faced in the movie.

Game publisher Aspyr Media announced on Monday that the company plans to distribute a Mac version of the game CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Based on the popular TV show, the game places you in the well-worn shoes of a member of the CSI team as you investigate five crime scenes with an arsenal of forensic equipment. Real music and locations from the TV show are also employed to make you feel like you're part of the action. Aspyr expects to ship the game in August with a US$29.99 price tag. System requirements call for Mac OS 9.2.2 or Mac OS X v.10.2 or higher, a 500MHz or faster processor, 256MB RAM, 500MB hard drive space and 32MB of video RAM.

Aspyr Media Inc. announced on Monday that it is shipping Mac and PC versions of Wakeboarding Unleashed featuring Shaun Murray. It's the latest extreme sports action game to by licensed by Aspyr from Activision Inc. The game made an appearance on consoles earlier this year and has also been published for Game Boy Advance -- one of the first couple of Game Boy Advance titles that Aspyr has published.

The game allows you to select one of nine customizable characters and travel between seven worlds, including some shown in the films, as you try to defeat the evil Sith. Aspyr Media Inc. on Friday announced that its Mac conversion of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has reached its Beta development milestone. The game is on track for a September release, according to the company. Knights of the Old Republic, also known by the acronym KOTOR, is an enormously popular role playing game set in the Star Wars universe, thousands of years before the events depicted in George Lucas' epic films. System requirements for the game will call for Mac OS X v10.2.8 or later, G4/1GHz or faster, 256MB RAM, 4GB free hard disk space and ATI Radeon 7500 or Nvidia GeForce2 MX or better 3D graphics acceleration with at least 32MB VRAM, and a DVD drive to install and play.
