According to a Korea Times article, two Korean ROBHAZ-DT3 robots are being shipped to Iraq to assist with military operations in the country, further reducing the risks to humans. The ROBHAZ-DT3 was developed by the KIST Intelligent Robotics Research Center. It runs Linux, has stereo vision, a manipulator arm, and can be teleoperated. The robot can travel at up to 12 kph and climb 45 degree slopes using multiple tank-like tracks. More photos and video of the robot in action are available at the ROBHAZ website.
