New Features: Friends & Addressbook
Blogware users got a small preview of version 1.0 this week with
the release of our new Address Book and Friends functionality.
The Ad
dress Book is a pretty cool mechanism that provides Blogware
Publishers with some pretty nifty tools for managing the relationships
between users and content.
The other new function, Friend

another and will act as the basis for a bunch of cool new services as
we move forward.
Play around with them and let me know what you think (keeping in
mind that this is "pre-release preview beta not-finished yet"

Crap, I really liked his stuff.
It's a little weird, in a life-imitates-art sort of way, to realize
his song was used in a suicide scene (in The Royal Tennenbaums), and
now he's gone and done that himself.

government
08/17/2004 06:54 PMMicrosoft is gunning for open source software this week by signing a
new three year deal with the UK Government. Microsoft has indicated
that it will help the public sector get more out of IT by supplying
extra support and services rather than cutting licence fees.
Microsoft's current contract with the UK government is due to expire
early next year. It's not clear what will be in the new deal but it's
likely to be a significant step in the drive for modernising the UK
government.
