Could it be that Sharper Image actually has something marginally cool? Incomprehensible as that may be, it appears that the technoshlock vendor is selling special edition "Signature Series" RoboSapiens, available in both Chrome and Blue, with designer Mark Tilden's autograph.

I realized as I started to write this that I had missed my little brother's seventh birthday. Nate, if you're reading this, remember that your brother doesn't hate you, he just, uhm, was waiting for the chrome one to come out. Previews UK has announced that Gentle Giant is set to offer a Chrome Stormtrooper mini-bust, to be made available this month. According to the latest issue the piece will have an SRP of £36.99, and due to its limited edition status allocations may occur. So far there has been no mention of availability in the U.S., but we expect to have more details on that soon.

I recently stopped by a couple Target stores only to find both assortments of Original Trilogy Collection Lightsabers on display. Both electronic (Vader and Luke) and non-electronic (Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon: blue, green, purple, red) versions now sport the black and silver OTC package. Don't want a robot dog? Sega is introducing a fur-covered robot cat with the odd name of "near me". From the photos it looks a bit like robot zombie cat but it's an improvement over last year's Omron Necoro robot cat which looked like it had been hit by a truck. Even better than fur-bearing robots, Sharper Image has announced a special edition Robosapien available in chrome or metallic blue. Both versions include Mark W. Tilden's signature tattooed on the leg.
