Help Spread CC

Help Spread CC 06/05/2005 11:40 PM

Thanks to constructive criticism from the community we've decided to drop the marketing partnership with BzzAgent (thanks for the offer).

Many suggested that we actively engage the community in promoting CC, following the lead of Spread Firefox. To collect ideas we've created a SpreadCC wiki page. Please jump in. Note that "SpreadCC" is not an official project name.

Verizon About To Spread The EV-DO

Verizon About To Spread The EV-DO 09/22/2004 05:16 PM
Rumors have been flying for the past month or so about where and when Verizon was going to next launch their 3G EV-DO wireless broadband service. Now, they're finally admitting that they're launching 11 new cities, and 8 additional airports this coming Monday and they still expect to expand much more before the end of the year. It certainly looks like their aggressive rollout plans are working. They say they're still focused on business customers using laptops and PDAs with datacards -- but that they'll launch EV-DO handsets and consumer plans sometime next year. Also, while the story doesn't say anything, the other rumors we're hearing are that the price is dropping as well, from the ever-popular $80/month to the slightly more reasonable $60/month range (though, this may only be for certain customers who do some negotiating).

Okj sure- - the Be-In has always beena fun party.  But the idea was always to go beyind having funa nd create a mood for discourse, interaction and enlightenment.

I gave many a presentation at Be-Ins - including a live MediaBand gig at the Mariner's Hall one year.  Let's see that must have been '93 or '94.

Anyway - Bruce Eisner is helping to spread the meme and get folks contributing to the flow.  Discussions going on at the Be-In Tribe.
