06/21/2004 12:28 PM
“SpaceShipOne has rocketed into the history books to become the first private manned spacecraft to fly to the edge of space and back. The craft, built by aviation pioneer Burt Rutan, went over space’s 100km (62 mile) boundary, said mission control. It was carried to 50,000ft (15km) by its launcher White Knight at which point it was unleashed. It fired its rockets to continue its trip.” The BBC’s servers are being hit hard at the moment - if you can’t get the story, try again later.

Goals and Visions 2005 01/03/2005 02:47 PM

I expect this next year to be full of challenges for myself and Geek News Central. Out of the starting gate this year I have a yet to be announced project that is going to consume several months of my time, along with that we have a twice weekly Podcast and daily post here. Starting in April I have decided to go back to college it is time to refresh some skill sets I have and I will be going part time working on a new degree. So it's shaping up to be a interesting year to say the least. I will do my best to keep up with everything but their will be a lot of Irons in the fire. It is important that I meet all of these Goals as everything is tied together.

We want to Thank all the loyal readers and listeners of the website and Podcast.
