Following extensive beta-testing Apple has released Xcode 1.5. Xcode is Apple's integrated development environment for Mac OS X. The development software - which is developed in-house by Apple - offers support for all the different levels of the operating system, including: Carbon, Cocoa, Java and more. The software also offers project editing, search and navigation, file editing, project building and debugging facilities for all OS X software projects, from applications to device drivers.

Write Track Media Inc. on Monday released a plug-in called Xcode Clippings Menu. It adds, dead-code stripping, remote debugging, gcc 3.3 improvements for performance, code completion for Java and AppleScript, subversion source-code control system support, native build system support for AppleScript, an enhanced debugger with memory and globals browsers, faster editor performance, Ant templates, documentation bookmarks, and other speed improvements.
