Bridging the distance between the Hollywood film industry and the best new screenwriters across the country, the Nashville Screenwriters Conference announces its first National Screenplay Showdown. After six years of presenting the best writers and filmmakers in the entertainment industry at the Nashville Screenwriters Conference, the organization has teamed up with Ed Rugoff from the prestigious Chesterfield Writer’s Film Project to give aspiring screenwriters an opportunity to take their work west – all the way to Hollywood. The Showdown evaluates screenplays solely on the basis of story-telling ability, meaning that all genres have the same chance of winning. The winning screenplay writers will find themselves in front of the most prestigious literary agencies and management companies in consideration for representation. [PRWEB Jun 9, 2004]

Wireless Broadband Companies Need To
Understand The Competition
04/15/2004 02:23 PM
When you hear something like this, it seems quite obvious - but many wireless broadband players still haven't quite figured it out. When offering wireless broadband services, they are competing against wired broadband services in the minds of customers. Too many wireless broadband providers only seem to focus on the other wireless players - and therefore price things too high for service levels that don't match wired broadband at all. This was exactly the problem that Metricom ran into years ago with their Ricochet service - and which many wireless broadband players are now repeating. The article points out that hopefully this is changing with Nextel' s wireless broadband announcement yesterday as they seem to be moving as quickly as possible towards true DSL/cable broadband speeds at prices not that far off from their wired competitors.

Best Companies List
http://www.great placetowork.com/best/index.php

Each year, the Great Place to Work® Institute produces various Best Companies lists in the U.S. including Fortune's "100 Best Companies to Work For"® in America. They use the same selection methodology for the U.S. lists as for their over 20 international lists, including "Best Companies to Work for" lists in all 15 countries of the European Union, Brazil, Korea, and a number of other countries throughout Latin America and Asia. Companies are selected for the Best Companies lists primarily on the basis of their employees' responses to the Great Place to Work® Trust Index®, a proprietary employee survey developed by the Great Place to Work® Institute.
Further information used for selection to the list is provided by completion of the Great Place to Work® Culture Audit©, a two part management questionnaire, also developed by the Great Place to Work® Institute. They take pride in maintaining the highest level of integrity in their evaluation process. Great Place to Work® Institute and its media partners will only publicize information about companies that make the list and, in addition, only publicize positive aspects of each company. This has been added to Employment Resources Subject Tracer™ Information Blog.

Small and large companies are turning to consultants to save expense over the cost of hiring a full-time staff. Businesses face tough competition and challenges with a lack of capitalization, inadequate staff with insufficient expertise, inexperienced and overworked staff who are unable to properly plan strategies and direction for on-line presence. New business start-ups often have budgets that do not include salary and benefits for a full-time experienced team. [PRWEB Jul 25, 2004]

Huelix ScreenPlay Program Review

Huelix ScreenPlay Program Review 07/06/2004 05:20 AM

I have used a variety of video capture programs in the past to record PC Screens and have never been real happy. I was given a chance to test Huelix ScreenPlay. This screen and audio capturing package is simple and yet a very powerful program. From install to capturing something it took less than 5 minutes, the program interface is easy to use and requires no training. It was very effective streaming video to the net as well as capturing video and audio to the harddrive. At the highest capture rate setting the video playback was clean and smooth. The only time I would use the lowest capture rate is if I was zoomed into a small area of the screen. I even used the application to capture a streaming video feed, with the audio input set to capture from the speakers so both the video and audio was captured. The program is priced such that individuals can easily afford the application as well as business owners. It has found a permanent place on our desktops.

As a side-note Huelix ScreenPlay came in handy on a personal level when my mom was having computer troubles and I was trying to walk my mom thru menus over the phone. I said hold tight and in 3 minutes I had captured what I wanted her to do and e-mailed her the video clip. She was impressed and was able to complete the task she needed to and said hey let’s do this more often. This program would be perfect when a computer related customer support call is not going good.

Please visit Huelix Solutions and download a trial version of Huelix ScreenPlay today
