Boston-area bank suggestion? (Bank of

Boston-area bank suggestion? (Bank of
America is not dog-friendly)
06/22/2005 02:23 AM

My bank has been purchased, for about the fifth time.  Currently it is called "Bank of America."  None of the previous changes of ownership or name bothered me but this time the new color scheme came with "no dogs allowed" signs in the front of every branch office.  I'm not sure that I can stomach 0.2% interest if I can't have a dog at my side to provide some comfort as inflation and corporate looters erode my turbine-powered helicopter fund.  Anyone have a suggestion for a dog-friendly bank in the Boston area?

Bank of America announces SiteKey

Bank of America announces SiteKey 06/05/2005 10:49 PM

Bank of America just announced the SiteKey service, a very effective protection against phishing and pharming. The service will launch in Tennessee next month and roll out across the country by the end of 2005.

SiteKey service is based on the patented 2-way 2-factor authentication solution from PassMark Systems. For the most part of last year, I've been helping them build their core authentication technology. This year, my focus at PassMark has been the forensic technology.

Oh yeah. Hurrah!

Update:

News.com has a screenshot of a SiteKey screen for those more visually minded. That was actually a screenshot of this page at BoA.

Address harvesting robots trawl the ‘net relentlessly, looking for anything that resembles an e-mail address. When they find an address, it is added to spam mailing lists and sold to all of those people who like to send you e-mail about your mortgage and your sex life.

But you still need to have a way to have visitors to your site contact you.
