Free Realty is a PHP/MySQL set of scripts based upon Jon Roig's
original Open Realty project. Jon's description of the package, "...
so easy even a real estate agent can use it.." is the ultimate goal
of this project.
Changes:
This release features code changes and cleanup. It now
allows for image storage in folders or the database, and
adds a script to pull listings (and agents) images from the
database into the images folders. Many redundant snippets
of code were moved into a single location as functions
helping to reduce the overall footprint of the project.

We don't normally talk about games here, but I think this
is a worthwhile exception. Japanese RPG gamers will be elated to hear
that Square Enix has begun beta testing of "Before Crisis: Final
Fantasy 7" today. Or actually, you probably should be even more
jealous - this game is only being offered to the small community of
people that own one of five particular NTT DoCoMo 900i series phone
models.
Still, we can dream, or better, whine about it to Squeenix. Set in
the Final Fantasy 7 world, "Before Crisis" takes place 6 years before
"Final Fantasy 7." Players can choose from either male or female
characters, who have different weapons. Regardless of whom you choose,
though, your character will be a member of ShinRa's elite group: the
Turks.
But here's the cool part. One feature of the phone game is the
"Materia Generator," which allows you to use your phone's camera to
somehow create Materia to be used in the game. Unfortunately, not even
the official site goes into any detail whatsoever, but it sounds at
least momentarily diverting, if nothing else.
If they don't release a localized English version of this game,
they're nuts.

m23 is a software distribution system for Debian GNU/Linux that lets
you install and administrate hundreds of clients over an existing
network easily. It can partition and format clients and install a
Debian GNU/Linux operating system and thousands of software packages.
The administration is done with a Web interface, which can be accessed
from any PC connected to the server.
Changes:
A new and completely adapted administration interface, the ability to
do administrative jobs on a series of clients concurrently with the
group functions, and mass installation tools, which are helpful for
when installing a large number of clients with the same software
configuration. A new update function that makes it easier to create
patches and update m23 servers was added along with a debug mode for
analyzing client problems. You can now log in to the running
installation process via SSH. Encryption was implemented for
client/server communications. Hardware detection was enhanced, and a
script for converting Debian CDs into a installation pool was added.
