Devil-Linux is a special secure Linux distribution which is used for
firewalls, routers, gateways, and servers. The goal of Devil-Linux is
to have a small, customizable, and secure Linux system. Configuration
is saved on a floppy disk or USB stick, and it has several optional
packages. Devil-Linux boots from CD, but can be stored on CF cards or
USB sticks.
Changes:
Fixes for serial console support, various program updates, and a few
new Perl modules.
Devil-Linux 1.0: The (hell)firewall
Devil-Linux 1.0: The (hell)firewall
10/31/2003 07:14 AMToday, Halloween, marks the debut of Devil-Linux 1.0, a runs-from-CD
(or USB flash device) firewall/router distribution designed to give
you a large amount of security in return for very little setup work.
The Halloween release date and the 'Devil-Linux' name itself were
chosen for humor value, not for religious reasons. The Devil-Linux
developers tend to be light-hearted, but don't let their
conversational silliness fool you: This is serious software with a
serious purpose.
Linux-VServer 1.9.5 (Linux 2.6
Development branch)
Linux-VServer 1.9.5 (Linux 2.6
Development branch)
03/24/2005 05:25 AM
Linux-VServer allows you to create virtual private
servers and security contexts which operate like a
normal Linux server, but allow many independent
servers to be run simultaneously in one box at
full speed. All services, such as ssh, mail, Web,
and databases, can be started on such a VPS,
without modification, just like on any real
server. Each virtual server has its own user
account database and root password and doesn't
interfere with other virtual servers.
Changes:
A small bug in IPv6 hiding was fixed, a memory
leak in an error path was removed, and a
mysterious double allocation issue in x25 was
fixed. iunlink and barrier update for XFS as well
as the proc/mounts virtualization were corrected.
A new claim/release scheme replaces the double
refcounting. Legacy support was separated, and a
bunch of new limits/accountings were added
(anon_rss, locks, shm, forks). A new ccap that
protects network mounts was added. Compile time
information was added to the proc info.

Qt 4.0 Beta 2 (Development branch)
Qt 4.0 Beta 2 (Development branch)
04/12/2005 05:19 PM

Qt is a toolkit for software developers. It simplifies the task of
writing and maintaining GUI (graphical user interface) applications.
It is written in C++ and is fully object-oriented. It is a
multi-platform toolkit. When you implement a program with Qt, you can
run it on the X Window System (Unix/X11), Apple Mac OS X, and
Microsoft Windows NT/9x/2000/XP by simply compiling the source code
for the platform you want.
Changes:
This release includes improvements to the Qt 3 to 4 porting tool and
supporting documentation, feature additions to Qt Designer including
support for MDI and SDI modes and support for custom widgets, a new
painting subsystem that allows device-independent rendering of
pixel-exact images, an improved input method framework, and addition
the of XP and Motif styles. Further additional improvements have also
been made to the Qt3Support library.

IPplan 4.20c-BETA (Development branch)
02/05/2005 09:35 PM
IPplan is a Web-based, multilingual IP address
management and tracking tool which simplifies the administration of
your IP address space. It can handle a single network or multiple
networks with overlapping address spaces. It features DNS
administration, internationalization, importing of network definitions
from routing tables, importing of definitions from TAB-delimited files
and NMAP's
XML format, support for multiple administrators
with different access profiles (per group, per
customer, per network, etc.), definitions of
address space authority boundaries per group,
finding free address space across a range, display
of overlapping address spaces between networks,
search capabilities, an audit log, statistics,
circuit tracking, and tracking and sending
SWIP/registrar information.
Changes:
Lots of small fixes were made, including a fix for broken external
file import. Bulk DNS zone imports were added, and a quicker scan of
IP address space was implemented using NMAP to show used addresses.
The start of an external trigger capability was added.
