What's amazing is to watch Macromedia and their private blogging corps try to spin this one.

What software company raises it prices nowadays? says David Temkin.

Here's my theory:

- Macromedia has found a hit in Breeze. They now have an enterprise sales force out there doing onesies and twosies.

- Thye're building a suite of add-on modules - so watch out if you're Convoq, Userplane and anybody else who relies upon the FlashComn server.

- So where does Flex fit into this? Well I don't think Macromedia wants to be in the tools biz anymore - so they'lll raise the price, sell it through their direct sales force - ane once again - fuck their developers.

Oh BTW - what's the story with this hidden backdoor in the flash player - that only Macromedia gets to use?

While it might be some's natural inclination to toss this off as a goofy product, I think there's something to a waterproof bag that protects your cellphone from moisture. The 'Aqua Talk Flex Plastype' soft case is a nylon and polyethylene bag from a manufacturer who normally makes cover slips for storing futons (possibly a much more prestigious role in Japan, we don't know).

Sure, you could just toss it in a Ziploc, but this looks sort of nice and is only $4 or so. Perhaps it will even be available outside of Japan, or wherever else futons are sold.
