Constitution Restoration Act of 03/29/2005 06:02 PM
"...God as the sovereign source of law, liberty, or government." The re-introductio n of this bill on March 3rd seemed to have been hardly noticed. It was first brought up last year by Senator Richard Shelby, Rep. Robert Aderholt, and Roy "Ten Commandments" Moore. I wonder if section 201 of the CRA will affect Article VI, Sect. 2. The "Constitution Restoration Act". `Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, the Supreme Court shall not have jurisdiction to review, by appeal, writ of certiorari, or otherwise, any matter to the extent that relief is sought against an entity of Federal, State, or local government, or against an officer or agent of Federal, State, or local government (whether or not acting in official or personal capacity), concerning that entity's, officer's, or agent's acknowledgment of God as the sovereign source of law, liberty, or government.'

This article claims that this bill is almost certain to pass, and that if it does that no Federal court or judge will have jurisdiction over any Federal, State, or local government entity or official who claims God's law.

Are these claims true? Why isn't there a fuss?

Digital video restoration process ruins

Digital video restoration process ruins
old cartoons
04/08/2005 03:19 PM
Mark Frauenfelder: Archives Birdtomandjerry Amid says: This post is a primer about DVNR ("digital video noise reduction"), a technology that is used by movie studios to clean up dirt and grain from film prints. It works fine in live-action, but when used with animation, it has a tendency to erase and distort parts of the image.

Recent releases of Rocky & Bullwinkle, Woody Woodpecker, Tom & Jerry and Looney Tunes have all been marred by DVNR technology. This is not a new problem and DVNR has ruined many cartoon releases since the early-'90s, but it's been angering a lot of cartoon fans in the online community recently. The post has links to other articles and discussions of DVNR and cartoons.

Elemental Audio Systems on Tuesday introduced Neo dynium, a plug-in for RTAS, Audio Unit and VST-compatible audio software designed for compression and dynamics processing. It uses an "I/O Map" visual interface that helps audio pros optimize and direct their efforts, rather than relying on more common transfer curves and displays. Neodynium costs US$159 (and is available for $139 for a limited time). It works with Digidesign Pro Tools, Emagic Logic and other software. System requirements call for a G3 or faster with Mac OS X v10.2 or newer and a compatible host application.
