The Luke Skywalker (Imperial Stormtrooper Outfit) action figure is the only Power Of The Force figure based on costume or situation that wasn’t in Return Of The Jedi. Granted, one could argue the Han Solo (In Carbonite Chamber) could also fit into that category, but it wasn’t entirely based exclusively on the events of the other two films, so it loses out by default; making today’s addition to the Vintage Photo Archive stand alone in the crowd.

Hands down, the vintage Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight Outfit) action figure had it going on. Not only was the sculpt dead on, today’s addition to the Vintage Photo Archive came with not one, not two, but three stupid-cool accessories, thus making it the quintessential Luke Skywalker figure in the vintage line.

Though, when compared to the modern line the casual observer may not notice it, but the vintage Luke Skywalker (Hoth Battle Gear) was a giant leap forward for Kenner. The figure sported not only the first vintage equivalent of an action pose; it was sculpted with more detail than any figure before it. Oddly enough, despite the fact that he used one whilst wearing this costume in the film, today’s addition to the Vintage Photo Archive didn't come with his father's Lightsaber. Likely Kenner didn't want to make the perfect Luke before Return Of The Jedi came out...

Still, this one figure was all that was needed, since the dude didn’t do much in the Classic Trilogy other than be dead and smile a lot…Thankfully, today’s addition to the Vintage Photo Archive fearlessly brought both of those character traits across very well.

It seems Zellers is keeping Canadian collectors on their toes –or at very least collectors in the Greater Toronto Area. Found today by Rebelscum reader James Hudson is the inexplicably odd Revenge Of The Sith Sit ‘N Spin. What’s odd about this piece is that it was not shown at the US Toy Fair, and with its Canadian Tri-logo packaging, the Playskool toy might be exclusive to the Canadian market. What ever the case may be, the not to subtle message will have collectors scratching their heads for a while.

Microsoft is announcing on Tuesday that the search engine it built from scratch is taking center stage at the company's Web portal, MSN.com, which previously had relied on search technology from rival Yahoo. "The whole goal with our new search service is to deliver answers faster to users," says Mark Kroese, MSN's general manager of information services product management. "In a world where the search engine user experience is getting lots of links but no answers, we're really focused on giving users quick answers to their questions." Since November, Microsoft's search engine had been in a public test--or beta--mode in a special section of the MSN.com portal, while the main search section continued to be powered by the Yahoo technology.
