A little over a year ago I started a little Master Replicas case project, trying to fill in the void they created by not offering cases for the Darth Maul saber and Jedi Training Remote replicas. What was first going to be 10 cases for fellow collectors in the forum ended up being hundreds of cases made by the same company that does them for Master Replicas. As such, the fit and finish is identical to the second generation and currently shipping cases. I've shipped all the committed cases and still have a few left. Some time ago Hasbro Australia recalled the Saga Darth Vader (Throne Room Duel) due to a potentially dangerous action feature. Due to this the OTC Darth Vader (a recarded Throne Room Duel Vader) will not be made available to Australia through official Hasbro channels. Thanks to Mick from Mousedroid.com for the report.

Master Replicas announced to its Collectors Society members today the availability to order a Darth Maul Battle Damaged Lightsaber. Kindly being referred to as a half-Maul. It will be available to order by Collectors Society members on December 4 and everybody else on December 5. There was no price or edition size in the email announcement. UPDATE: I've added preview photos of the saber above, as well as this other side photo here.

TRU Employee sends along a few more details on the upcoming Silver Darth Vader figure from Toys "R" Us. The warehouses are expected to get the figures in stock between October 10th and 16th. There are 7000 on order for that date. Hopefully the stores will be getting them in around then, too, but no updates on that yet. No news on specifically what the promotion will be either yet.

This guy spent three years building an enourmous model of Star Wars Super Star Destroyer -- Darth Vader's flagship. It's to the same scale as the 4" figurines, making it a kind of jumbo skiffy dollhouse for your Lucasfilm dollies. It's pretty amazing. Bidding stands at £305 right now with four days left.

Taking almost 3 years to make, this is the one of a kind 4" scale figure toy that I always wanted, and now I have built it. I just wish I’d had one of these when I was a kid. And for kids this Star Destroyer has been built. The ship is constructed almost entirely of wood and all the parts are quite chunky with nothing small to break off (unless abused). It is approximately 2 metres in length, 1.5 metres wide and 1 metre high, it is rather large but built solidly. Caster wheels on the base allow for easy movement and the top section can be removed for storage and easier transportation. Not for under 3s but great fun to play with from 6 – 60 year olds!
