06/11/2004 01:29 AMToday's

Clone Emperor
Palpatine and his forces. Palpatine's bodyguard, the
Imperial
Sentinel, was at one point considered to be part of a new Vintage

Universe - Heir To The Empire
06/10/2004 01:33 AMIt was a time when
Star Wars was long forgotten. The movies had
ended, the comics were cancelled, no toys on the shelves. Then in
1991, a new novel came out that changed all that.
Heir to the
Empire was an instant hit with readers and sparked
Star
Wars interest for a new generation. A
comic book
adaptation was published, and the character designs were used for
the figures in today's
Power of the Force 2
Photo Archives, which debuts a new sub-section dedicated to the
Expanded Universe
featuring a
Spacetrooper
a>, Grand Admiral
Thrawn, and the hugely-popular
Mara Jade.

POTF2 European Archive: Conclusion
05/14/2004 01:51 AMWe have finished to present the POTF2 European Photo Archive. Indeed
the assortment of figures from the classic trilogy with Commtech chips
was not released in Europe because Hasbro Europe was giving priority
to the Episode 1 figures. As requested by some Rebelscum readers and
also to help collectors, we have listed all POTF2 basic figures never
released on European packaging.

Europe countries with 4 languages (English, German, French and Dutch)
and the second one for South Europe countries with 4 languages too
(German, French, Spanish and Italian). It meaned also that it was the
end of the Italian cards. Rebelscum presents for the moment only the
South Europe cards.

POTF2 Photo Archives Update:
Stormtroopers
05/17/2004 02:54 AMContinuing our series of updates to our
Power of the Force 2
Photo Archives, we go all the way back to the beginning of the line to
one of the first figures.
Han Solo
(Stormtrooper Outfit) was available exclusively as a mail-in offer
from Kellogg's Froot Loops cereal beginning in the summer of 1995. And
because you can never have too many Stormtroopers in your action
figure army, look for the
Deluxe Crowd Control
Stormtrooper as well, one of the first Expanded Universe figures
in the line long before the term was even used.

POTF2 Photo Archives Update: Han Solo
05/18/2004 02:49 PMToday's update to our
Power of the Force 2
Photo Archives shows the different sides of the captain of the
Millennium Falcon, Han Solo. Whether he's hard at work with his
Smuggler Flight
Pack, negotiating a deal with
Jabba the Hutt,
flirting with
Princess Leia
on Cloud City, or just kicking back in the
Millennium Falcon
CD-ROM Playset, the hard-working Corellian is just shows how busy
the life of a scoundrel can really be.
POTF2 Photo Archives Update: Droids
POTF2 Photo Archives Update: Droids
06/01/2004 10:32 AMToday's update to our
Power of the Force 2
Photo Archives focuses on the various mechanical beings found in the
Star Wars universe...Droids! They come in all shapes and sizes,
performing a variety of functions, and usually make life easier for
their creators. Protocol droids such as
C-3PO are
invaluable when dealing with aliens. Injured lifeforms can always
count on medical droids like
2-1B to speed their
recovery. The
ASP-7
Droid is equipped for menial labor, usually at local spaceports.
The RA-7 series
Death Star
Droid was mostly used for spying missions, along with the small
MSE-6 series "mouse droid." And every pilot needs a good astromech
droid, like
R5-D4, although it's
a good idea to check their motivators.

POTF2 Photo Archives Update: Playsets
06/06/2004 12:32 AMToday's update in our
Power of the Force 2
Photo Archives features something that we don't see much of these
days: playsets! Complete with action features, projectiles, and
footpegs to hold various 3¾" figures, collectors can re-create scenes
from the Classic Trilogy. Free the princess during the
Detentio
n Block Rescue and swing to freedom in a daring
Death
Star Escape from
A New Hope. When winter comes, head
outside and set up in the snow for a
Hoth Battle
from
The Empire Strikes Back. Take a trip to the woods and
break into the shield generator bunker in an
Endor Attack
from
Return of the Jedi. While not the most movie-accurate,
these playsets do provide an interesting way to display your
collection.

06/18/2004 04:51 AMBefore we finish up our
Power of the Force 2

unofficial

Based on the early waves, these figures have bad paint jobs, incorrect
colors, and generic cardbacks. But they do make for a fun addition to
my collection. This gallery is by no means complete, and if the
interest is there, we may add more of these in the future.
