Abstrakt's reStyler fixes FM7 clipboard
bug

Abstrakt's reStyler fixes FM7 clipboard
bug
09/17/2004 01:48 PM
Abstrakt announced on Friday the release of reStyler, a free FileMaker Pro 7 plug-in that helps fix a clipboard bug found in the database software. Abstrakt noted that FileMaker 7 features an internal clipboard format that isn't completely compatible with Mac OS X's clipboard. For example, FileMaker 7 doesn't offer the "paste with styles" option, which creates problems when copying and pasting text from an application such as Word, which uses rich text format as its main clipboard format. reStyler is a workaround that translates between the two clipboard types until FileMaker fixes the bug.

"Since ALA, we all have known that the Canadian library schools are really putting out some top librarian talent. But who knew they had a fashion sense as well. The students from the SLIS at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia are hawking some mighty fine librarian t-shirts, possibly ones even too racy to wear to work. And, 'action figure' aside, my favorite one has to be the NLA shirt." [librarian.net]
